I’ve noticed that several people reading the blog are searching for information regarding wedding invitations. What people are searching is how to respond to a wedding invitation. If you will recall from an earlier blog, I mentioned the polite thing is to respond to all invitations. An invitation with RSVP requires a handwritten note. As I also mentioned earlier, today the enclosure card is usually included with the wedding invitation, and this has replaced the need for the handwritten note. However, if you do receive an invitation without the reply card, there is a format to follow in giving your reply.
There is a wonderful book that I recommend. It is Crane’s Blue Book of Stationery. This book talks about different kinds of paper, various forms of printing, how to compose all types of invitations, and how to respond to invitations. It is a great resource book with good examples. This is a handy book to have when you are faced with writing replies, addressing invitations, and creating invitations. Enjoy. Please let me know if any of you have used Crane’s book and if it helped you.
Questions or comments are always appreciated.
